"It's life changing..."That's the phrase I hear over and over again from students who have participated in the International Public Relations study abroad program in London. Our schedule includes briefings by world leaders in public relations, corporate communication, media and nonprofit groups. In this small group setting, students connect directly with top executives, who offer insight and advice on communication trends and careers.
In 2016, students visited Internet.Org, a nonprofit launched by Facebook in an effort to bring the Internet to the two-thirds of the world still unconnected. We visited the world's top firm firms of Hill & Knowlton (H+K Strategies), Ketchum, Edelman and Bell Pottinger. We toured the BBC and the London Telegraph and enjoyed a detailed session with top executives at Northrop Grumman as well as the director of the Churchill Museum. |

Our busy schedule include a day trip to Oxford (the Harry Potter trail), a tour of Windsor Castle, and the play "War Horse." In their free time, students visited Camden Market, Tower of London, the London Eye, Shakespeare's Globe Theater and more.
We enjoyed seeing Facebook's UK offices and a great session on the nonprofit INTERNET.ORG
and their mission to bring the Internet to the two-thirds of the world currently without access. We also learned
about corporate communication planning and challenges with the top communications team at Northop Grumman.
